My progress with yoga every day is on or off the matt.
Constantly letting go of my ego.
Do things for people because you want to, not because you have to.
Constantly reminding myself not to let fear, or expectation get in the way of me being happy.
Constantly reminding myself that I am doing the best I can to work towards my goals and that I should not feel anxious as long as I am working towards them. Little by little every day. As long as I am taking steps forward. It may seem like a lot to get where you want to go, but any little bit counts.
Don’t! Give up on your dreams!
For a long time I have struggled with the idea of work.
Mainly because I never see myself fit in any mass corporate institution.
I have been holding myself back with what I would like to have as work because I constantly doubt its realism.
I believe God gave us gifts in order to use them.
And we all know God wants us to be happy.
The important thing here though is, we don’t let ourselves be happy because we feel we aren’t doing what is right- what society expects from us.
We can do the things we love to do. Its the same as any other mass producing job- you still have to put forth effort, physical and mental.
The main task though, is to believe.
That YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS ARE POSSIBLE.
And to never lose sight of that.
And if your like me- when at times you let other people get you down because they are probably jealous and therefor mad at you for being happy (because you are actually doing something you love), don’t.
Don’t ever let anyone make you feel bad because they themselves aren’t happy. Sometimes unhappiness in people comes from a root problem they are having trouble dealing with.
Be their friend- be nice to them.
There may be something you can help them with. If they are willing to accept that is…
Go on, get with ya bad self! Be happy! And don’t forget to push yourself to do the “work” you want to.

Did some yoga on my own, and then some great practice with Datura Online. A dancers resource for various styles of training in various dance disciplines surrounding the belly dance culture.
Definitely something good to have when you want continuous training and don’t have any teachers around you.
Just signed up for their unlimited monthly. Great to see some of these teachers again, and some of them for the first time.
Im have been wanting to learn more about Indian dance and Im excited to be doing so here.
Today I learned about Pranam from Colleen Shakti.
“Pranam is a sanskrit word for a reverential salutation or greeting. It is a gesture that all Indian dancers perform, regardless of their style of dance.”

Went for a jog this morning, yaaay. I dont look very happy to be there but Ive been letting my body take breaks, gather thoughts, simply rest and chill. Learning a new pace is not always a bad thing. Am glad I did start my day off this way though, running round in nature.
The Bhagavad-Gita states
“The Lord said, “You are talking like a learned man, but you do not that one who is learned-one who knows what is body and what is soul- does not lament for any stage of the body, neither in living nor in dead condition.” …knowledge means to know matter and spirit and the controller of both….The body is born and is destined to be vanquished today or tomorrow; therefor the body is not as important as the soul. One who knows this is actually learned, and for him there is no cause for lamentation, regardless of the condition of the material body.”
I admit that I used to see my body as material and an image, I used to want to sculpt it and make it look a certain way- honestly now I think thats a headache sometimes and am far more concerned with my overall well being as matter and spirit and soul. As long as Im healthy thats all that matters to me! Being healthy requires not just your physical body but your heart and soul. Of course you should still treat your physical body well with good foods, exercise, etc. that is all part of the whole. I try and push myself a little but not as much as I used to- that goes for a lot of things- which is definitely a good thing because pushing too much can straight up lead to stress. A little is good, too much is no bueno and counterproductive to your health. I have amped up my meditating and creative self expression, giving instincts, and rest.
Too, when you feel good, you feel good enough to help others feel good. Self love and care always.
