Tire Flips Because Why The Flip Not??? :)

Get ya some functional training today! Tire flipping is a functional movement because it requires you to utilize muscles from all over your body.

How to do this:

Engage your core, and lift with your legs. Core engagement is important so that you may protect your back from injury. Remember this as you push through with your core activated.

I have not been doing any kind of strength training other than what comes with yoga. I do miss lifting at times as well as training in more traditional ways such as pull-ups, etc.

Today I went for a small walk and then did the following:

Deadlifts: 2 sets, bar only (45 lbs), 4
Push Press: 2 sets, 5 1/2 lbs weights, 4
1 Hand Stand Hold
1 Pull Up.

Hahah, gotta start from the bottom. Never feel ashamed of this either! Progress is a process!

I am hoping to do this at least once a week and build my lifting strength back a little bit. I usually don’t like to lift too much simply because I build quick, so I think once a week would be efficient for now!

Body, Mind, Spirit, and Soul. Non importance of the material body.

Went for a jog this morning, yaaay. I dont look very happy to be there but Ive been letting my body take breaks, gather thoughts, simply rest and chill. Learning a new pace is not always a bad thing. Am glad I did start my day off this way though, running round in nature.

The Bhagavad-Gita states

“The Lord said, “You are talking like a learned man, but you do not that one who is learned-one who knows what is body and what is soul- does not lament for any stage of the body, neither in living nor in dead condition.” …knowledge means to know matter and spirit and the controller of both….The body is born and is destined to be vanquished today or tomorrow; therefor the body is not as important as the soul. One who knows this is actually learned, and for him there is no cause for lamentation, regardless of the condition of the material body.”

I admit that I used to see my body as material and an image, I used to want to sculpt it and make it look a certain way- honestly now I think thats a headache sometimes and am far more concerned with my overall well being as matter and spirit and soul. As long as Im healthy thats all that matters to me! Being healthy requires not just your physical body but your heart and soul. Of course you should still treat your physical body well with good foods, exercise, etc. that is all part of the whole. I try and push myself a little but not as much as I used to- that goes for a lot of things- which is definitely a good thing because pushing too much can straight up lead to stress. A little is good, too much is no bueno and counterproductive to your health. I have amped up my meditating and creative self expression, giving instincts, and rest.

Too, when you feel good, you feel good enough to help others feel good. Self love and care always.
Be good to yourself and go at your own pace. If you suffer from any illnesses or conditions that limit your movement, remember the text above- you can still move your soul in many various ways ❤️.

Didn’t look ver happy for my movement this morning, but I know it served me well. I am happier now, just takes shaking the sleep off. 😛

When my head is in circles, about where I am headed- feeling stagnant more often than not- I feel Ill never reach the top.
My problem is, I have too much expectation of where the top really is, or what it looks like.

If you think you NEED to go somewhere to do something, you don’t-there are resources all around you. Take some time to yourself and do yo thang. If you are SUPPOSED to be somewhere else to learn something, then you will know when the time is right to go there. But I have a feeling, that as long as you keep doing what you love, you will get there either way. Do what makes you come alive.
Live in Love, and Love with no fear.

Shots whilst rail walking.

I have these shots I captured from my adventures training the other day. Rail balancing and walking is a simple, yet challenging exercise. Balancing is a great way to increase core strength/stability and alertness through your mind body connection.

I like balancing a lot. Mainly because it forces me to slow down-take my time- I must focus on precision and also being light and feathery in order to not make any sudden movements that may cause me to fall.

Even ignoring distractions such as people honking (which does happen) can show some symbolism as to why focusing on balancing can help you in focusing to get through some major life challenges.

Now I challenge you! To try it.

A health and lifestyle magazine that you should check out.

I never really read too many magazines. I do take fancy though to Interior Design mags, National Geographic, Alternative art mags and some fitness mags. Recently I came across one magazine I had no idea about.

I like magazines that promote a positive lifestyle and I personally have begun to favorite this one for its stress busting techniques and lifestyle motivation.

Prevention magazine! There is honestly too much to say about this magazine. Too much awesome information to really discuss only one thing. I love the name is all negative things can easily be prevented. I believe prevention to be the most important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You don’t want a certain aspect to happen Ex: gaining weight, losing sleep, feeling sad-so you try a few things that may help you on your way.

I say check it out and see what you like about it. There are tabs for Health, Weight Loss, Fitness, Sex, Mind-Body, Food, and Beauty.
